What a wonderful event! A total of 50 classmates and guests enjoyed a beautiful day celebrating our Clover Park 63rd Class of 1960 Reunion. The photo above shows the classmates attending.
The event began with a warm welcome in the lobby of the Tacoma Yacht Club where each person got a nametag and signed into the reunion. Attendees were treated with plenty of time to chat with their friends from high school years and look over the memorabilia table that was full of interesting items that included yearbooks, photos from past years in grade school, middle school, and, of course, Clover Park High School events. Other items that classmates enjoyed getting were a list of classmate's careers and awards since graduation and a business card with the class website address and a way to contact Trent Marvin, our historian, with information for his records.
At 1:00 PM the group sat down for a lunch that included delicious Chicken Marsala, Lemon Pepper Salmon, Roasted Red Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetable Medley, Ceasar Salad, Pasta Salad, Sourdough Rolls, Coffee, and Tea. Mid-event Bob Felker led a fun list of awards: Who has the most grandchildren? Most great-grandchildren? Who has been married the longest? Who has been married the most times? Which classmate has been employed the longest? Who is the oldest classmate in attendance? The youngest in attendance? Who came the farthest to this reunion? Following all the laughter, Mike Johnson, Karen Johnson's brother, and Karen took several photos of the group. (See these photos on this website under "PHOTO ALBUMS" in the "Menu")
So sorry if you could not make this special event. Before the luncheon ended, each classmate was urged to fill out a survey asking if they would attend more reunions, where, what time of year, and the type of event. See the results of the survey under "Reunion Reviews". Yes, attendees wanted more events, so we hope you can make the 2024 reunion.
